Monday Morning Blues

Just wanted to add a picture of Tylynn and her birthday cake adventure. What fun!
Yeah Packers!!! They have made it to the Super Bowl. They will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Go Green Bay!
Work is work. I again did something wrong and got Cathy upset with me. You'd think I would know everything by now. DUH??????

Yeah It's Friday

I am so glad that it is Friday. Even though we had Monday off from work, I am so tired. Seems like short weeks just last longer. I have decided I want an iPad so I am going to have to start saving. Which means that none of my kids will need money before I'm able to buy one. FAT CHANCE!!!
The great news is that the Packers have made it to the third round in the playoffs. Miracles do happen. I think they are going to get killed this week by Chicago, but they've beat them before and this could happen again. Go Green Bay!

My Wonderful Kids Updated Jan. 2011

A Year + Update

Well it's been over a year since I have posted anything. And so much has happened! So here is a quick rundown of what's gone on in my life.
1. Holly had her baby girl (Jan. 15, 2010). Her name is Tylynn May. She is absolutely adorable.
2. Danny moved out and in with his girlfriend Cindy. She is such a sweetheart. We love her as a new addition to the family.
3. Victoria got a teaching job after graduating. This might not seem unusual, but our school district just wasn't hiring. The second year of ridiculous budget cuts. Anyway she is teaching 6th grade at a Title I school. Abby is going to that school with her.
4. Two more people got canned from our department. I luckily got to keep my job. Unfortunately, two of the four people left now hate me because I am still there and the two others aren't. Even though I was last one hired, I also had seniority over the two that went. This really ticked off some people. I had nothing to do with this other than I had worked in the district longer.
5. Stacey and Ryan moved back to Utah. They had a beautiful baby boy on Oct. 21, 2010. His name is Ace. He is the first child in our family born with hair. What a pleasant surprise!
6. My father finally passed away on Dec. 1, 2010. He had an aneurysm and thankfully died quickly and pain free. Even though we knew he wasn't going to last much longer, this came out of the blue. The funeral was so hard. I really miss him. Christmas really sucked this year, but we got through it.
7. John and I got through another year together. We've been married now for 35 years. OMG!
8. I leave this note with some bad news. John lost his job Jan. 1st. Well all I can say is "Welcome to a New Year"!!!

Happy Anniversary

It was my 34th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 12. Yippy Skippy. We made grilled cheese sandwiches and watched some dumb movie on TV. The weather sucked and we just didn't want to go out. At this rate, we may actually make it to 50!

Life Must Go On

My mother just called to let me know that my dad's brother had passed away this weekend. This makes the 3rd relative in 2 months. My Aunt Kathleen passes about two months ago and then my Uncle David passed about two weeks ago. They were from my mom's side. When I talked to my mom today, she said that my father is really afraid of dying. He will be turning 88 next month. It would be so sad to see him go, but on the other hand he would be with his family and my older brother Richard again. Free from this life's turmoil and trials. Death is a hard thing, sometimes a blessing, sometimes not. But a part of life that we must endore.

Thanksgiving

Well, I survived Thanksgiving! I hate holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since Tyler's death, I have a real hard time around this time of year. We went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving and actually had a decent time. The food was great, my brother Jon is a great cook. My sister was there and so was her son, Justin and his new wife (Susan I think). We really missed Stacey and Ryan, but both Holly and Danny had off of work so they both came. We went to a movie first, Old Dogs, and then had dinner. All in all, it was a liveable day. Now if Christmas would just go away.
